Finding Hope within the Darkness Epiphany Evening

Overview

Darkness.
In each of our lives, our world,
Darkness from time to time enfolds us.

Epiphany, the day Christians honor the journey of Wise Souls following a star by night seeking a new Sovereign, falls upon January 6. This is a day of recognizing the darkness that generations have traveled through.

This evening of prayer and contemplation is a time to join with other wise souls looking for the light, watching for signs, and seeking the deep hope and the guiding light that only the Divine can offer.

Rev. Sue Ott-Holland and Tim Hall will host and guide our time together. All are welcome, and registrations are preferred so proper hospitality can be offered. There is no fee, though offerings will be welcome. It is your presence, your companioning that we desire. The darkness can be scary, but together, together we can recognize the light and hold tight to hope.

Rev. Sue Ott-Holland has lived out her call “to help people become who God dreams them to be” for over 40 years as a mother, pastor, Clinical Pastoral Educator, Hospital Administrator and spiritual guide. Currently retired, she continues to tend her spirit via travel, reading, and contemplative prayer.

Tim HallTim Hall

Tim Hall is the Promoter of Justice, Peace and Care of Creation for the Dominican Sisters of Racine, Wisconsin. Before joining the Racine Dominicans, Tim worked as a union-side labor litigator and a teacher of Latin and Theology. Tim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Languages from the University of Wisconsin, a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and a Master’s Degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame.
