Spiritual retreat with Andre lee ellis of Milwaukee

Overview

Description
Justice activists observe that our society is afraid of young African American males. Many are punished for the rest of their lives for a misstep early in life. As a society, we need to examine our misconceptions and not pre-judge.

During this evening presentation, activist and organizer André Ellis will speak about how Community Agricultural Growing Experience (CAGE), the Urban Farm he founded in Milwaukee, provides second chances to give people new lives, whether in the context of prison, poverty, or financial illiteracy.  He will also address food deserts and hydroponics (CAGE has numerous sites in the city for hydroponics).
