Retreat begins at 3:30pm on Sunday and concludes with the noon meal on Friday.
Cost of $435 includes $50 non-refundable deposit, accommodations, and meals. Massage ($60/hr or $35/30min) and reiki ($60/hr) available, payable to therapist by check or cash.
Vimala Bhikkhuni is a Buddhist nun and assistant abbess at Mahapajapati Monastery, Joshua Tree, CA. Vimala leads meditation groups and retreats.
Donna Mosca is owner and teacher at Peace Tree Yoga in Burlington, Wisconsin, and adjunct faculty in Exercise and Sport Science at Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin. Donna adds elements of mindfulness meditation to her yoga teachings.
Steve Rys is a graduate of Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where he studied Eastern and Western painting methods. He has been developing and teaching art programs for the past 18 years. He teaches at the Racine Art Museum and at the Peninsula School of Art in Door County. Steve is currently developing an extensive art-as-meditation program combining the benefits of East-West contemplative practices.
Pat Shutts has a BA in Theology and an MA in Pastoral Studies, and received certification in spiritual guidance from Creighton University and bereavement ministry from the Diocese of Joliet, Illinois. Pat brings her gift of compassionate listening and openness to the Spirit, and companions seekers as they acknowledge and discover God's presence in all of life's journey. Pat is a lay covenant member of the Wheaton Franciscans and a member of the Sophia Zen Sangha. She loves art, play, and prayer.
