SoulCollage® Saturday

SoulCollage® is a process of creating over time a personal deck of unique, collaged cards from found and personal images for the primary purpose of self-exploration, self-acceptance, and soul-tending.  It is a fun, engaging, deep, and illuminating process that is, all at once, a form of creative play, self-care, and personal reflection.

The cards that you make contain images you select—or images that select you—and we believe come straight from your soul, and have something to say to you.

We will reflect on our experience of the sacred and see how the images on the cards reveal our ever changing and ever deepening knowledge of our souls.  We will take time to make cards and seek out what they might be saying to us in a quiet reflective atmosphere.

The theme for the day is Taming Your Inner Critic.

Missy Isely-Poltrock is a Carthage College graduate and a member of the Lemon Street Gallery in Kenosha.  She has had art pieces in various shows, including the Anderson Arts Winter Juried Show, Watercolor Wisconsin at the Wustum Museum of Fine Arts, Artful Women in Madison, and a solo show at Pop More Corks in Lake Geneva.  She has a great fondness for collage and assemblage, believes each of us has a divine inner artist, and invites everyone to be kind to oneself.

Pat Shutts is an artist, retreat leader, and spiritual guide.  With training in bereavement ministry and a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies, Pat brings her gift of compassionate listening.
