This retreat has a waiting list.  Please feel free to register but do not submit a deposit as you will be placed on a waiting list.  We will let you know if there is an opening.

Embrace and nurture life’s blessings, all of them, in a retreat tailored to your individual encounter with the Holy.  This retreat includes a daily meeting with a director, time for solitude, and the opportunity to gather with others for prayer.

This year’s theme, living with hope, will be the focus of morning and evening prayers.  While this is a silent retreat, there will be designated optional times for sharing with each other.

Sunday, July 22, to Saturday, July 28, 2018
The retreat begins on Sunday at 3:30pm and concludes with the noon meal on Saturday.
Cost of $495 includes $50 non-refundable deposit,  spiritual direction, overnight accommodations, and meals. 

Miriam Brown, OP, a Sinsinawa Dominican, is a spiritual guide, retreat facilitator, presenter on current spirituality themes  and team member of the Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program.  She has an eye for the Spirit’s movement in the world and in the graced unfoldings of each person’s deep and precious life.  S. Miriam currently has a waiting list.

Mary Therese Johnson, OP, is a Dominican sister who lives and ministers in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin.  She is serving in pastoral care with her sisters in Siena Assisted Living community and at St. Dominic Villa.  Mary Therese practices mindfulness which helps her be more attentive to the present moment and the workings of the Holy Spirit.  She invites companions to tap into their own life experience and inner wisdom as they seek a deeper spiritual life.

Marianne Kempa, SSND,  a School Sister of Notre Dame, is currently serving as  a Minister of Pastoral Care at the SSND Health Care Center.  Marianne is a graduate of the Spiritual Guidance Training Program at Siena Retreat Center and continues to offer guidance to spiritual companions.  She welcomes companions to embrace the ‘star within’ and celebrate God’s abundance. She has a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, as well as degrees in Administration and Elementary Education.

Diane Poplawski, OP, a Racine Dominican, has been active in vocation ministry at national and community levels and has ministered with Native Americans.   She has a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies and is a graduate of Siena Retreat Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program.  Diane currently works at Siena Retreat Center in the Development Office.  Diane resonates with Native American teachings and the prophet Micah’s   invitation to “act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly....” S. Diane currently has a waiting list.

Gail Ross, MSEd, is a mental health therapist and retreat leader.  Formerly on the team of directors for the Spiritual Guidance Training Program at Siena Retreat Center, Gail has completed course work for a Master of Divinity degree at Loyola, Chicago.  She has taught meditation and worked with groups and individuals in the process of grieving and forgiveness.

Lorrita Verhey, SSND, has served as teacher and Family Nurse Practitioner with the poor, with persons with chronic mental illness, immigrants and managed an outpatient clinic in Ghana, Africa.  While teaching in the College of Nursing at the University of Illinois, she completed the Spiritual Guidance Training Program at Siena and an internship at Claret Center in Chicago where she currently offers spiritual guidance.  She offers retreat days with a focus on integrating creation spirituality and holistic daily living. S. Lorrita currently has a waiting list.

Linda Wieser, OSF, a Franciscan sister, is a holistic body therapist, spiritual director, and Certified Personal Life Coach, who focuses on the whole person, integrating the healing of body, mind, spirit, and emotions.  She holds a master’s degree from Creighton University and has done extensive study in body therapy and spiritual direction. S. Linda currently has a waiting list.
