Evolutionary Faith: Days with Diarmuid O'Murchu
“Siena Retreat Center has become one of my favorite places close to home to rest, relax and refresh... The programs and presenters are always inspirational and the people I meet are like-minded and interesting.”
Diarmuid O’Murchu is one of the world’s leading thinkers in the areas of theology and cosmology.
As a social psychologist, author, and member of the Sacred Heart Missionary Order, Diarmuid integrates deep thinking and life experience to raise challenging questions regarding faith, science, and the way we look at our world and the Divine.
Join Diarmuid for these days of reflection on the topic of “evolutionary faith.” Diarmuid will explore how the story of evolution— in terms of cosmos, Earth, and humanity—unravels the benign mystery within which everything is held in being.
Texts that will inform and inspire Diarmuid’s presentations include: The Unbearable Wholeness of Being (edited by Ilia Delio), Making Sense of Evolution (by John Haught), Ancestral Grace (by Diarmuid O’Murchu), and Evolutionaries (by Carter Phipps). Siena Retreat Center’s bookstore carries many of these titles, as well as several other of Diarmuid’s books.
