Eco-Art Spirituality

Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."  So also every child is connected to nature.  The problem is how to remain connected once we grow up.

Eco-Art is a holistic spiritual practice that draws us closer to our creative and organic selves.  It invites us to see firefly frescoes and hear cricket symphonies, to write our wishes on dandelion seeds sent into the wind.  It calls us to return to our roots in this world we share with so much life.

This retreat offers the opportunity to engage in individual and collaborative art projects to return to a state of wonder and deep gratitude with the world.  Nature will provide a panoply of resources in full bloom.  Participants will use all the senses to draw from the rich palette of Siena's diverse ecosystems, integrating media with a special focus on scent, flowers, and essential oils.

Together we will cultivate a mindful awareness of the many blessings in our lives, those received and those given.  We will create art in and with nature through unique experiences including nest weaving and sound-scaping.

This retreat is open to anyone who calls the Earth home.  Walking shoes and a light jacket are recommended for outdoor activities.  Bringing a journal is optional.
